i took these photos at a great exhibition of john baldessari's work at the museum of contemporary photography over the weekend. afterwards, i went to see the radiant child at the music box, which made for a very nice saturday.

the music box also happens to be showing matthew barney's creamster cycle this month. i wrote my master's thesis on barney, so i'm biased, but he's amazing. if you haven't seen this work, it's something you should definitely experience. if you happen to go and also want to see some of the associated sculptural objects in person, there are some in this exhibition.

i also saw this excellent calder exhibition recently.

yesterday, i bought an amazing credenza from jared at circa midcentury. the credenza is even more gorgeous in person. if you are in the chicago area and looking for some new pieces to add to your home, i can't recommend jared and circa midcentury enough.
